Service History

This GT2 boasts an outstanding specification:
Exterior: Polar Silver with yellow PCCB callipers
Interior: Black leather-trimmed carbon bucket seats with yellow seatbelts, Westfalia Tartan seat centres, carbon interior package, carbon sill guards
Safety: Factory roll cage
Performance: PCCBs (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes), Cargraphic exhaust

The Porsche 911 GT2, especially in its 996 generation, is revered as one of the most thrilling and uncompromising sports cars ever made. Often referred to as the "Widowmaker" due to its raw, untamed power and lack of electronic driver aids, the 996 GT2 represents the pinnacle of Porsche's engineering expertise and motorsport pedigree. The car we have here is a truly special example, with a rich history and meticulous care that make it a standout choice for any serious collector.

Originally a dealer demonstrator, this 911 GT2 found its first private owner early in its life. This gentleman cherished the car for an impressive 18 years, maintaining it with unwavering dedication before passing it on to its current owner in the summer of 2020. The car's service history is exemplary, featuring 13 stamps from Porsche main dealers and specialists, ensuring that it has always been in the best of hands.

Upon taking delivery, the current owner, a true Porsche enthusiast, entrusted the car to renowned 996 specialists Sports & Classic for a thorough mechanical refurbishment. This extensive work, costing over £20,000, included a complete gearbox rebuild, turbocharger overhaul, new clutch and flywheel, radiator and coolant pipe replacements, a full suspension refresh, new brake lines, and ignition coils. The result is a GT2 that is as close to mechanically perfect as one can find, with tight, responsive handling and an engine and gearbox that feel exceptionally strong and fault-free.

Cosmetically, this GT2 is a showstopper. The Polar Silver paintwork is in outstanding condition, free from any noticeable stone chips or imperfections. At its most recent service with AHRS Porsche, even the specialists remarked on the car's exceptional condition, a testament to the meticulous care it has received.

This GT2 has been tastefully enhanced with a Cargraphic exhaust, which delivers a tremendous sound under boost without being overly aggressive. Inside, the seat centres have been upgraded with striking Westfalia Tartan inserts by Southbound Porsche Trimmers, adding a unique touch of character. The original seat centres are also included with the car for those who prefer the factory look.

In an era where modern sports cars are increasingly sanitised, the 996 GT2 stands out as a breath of fresh air. Its raw, unfiltered driving experience is a reminder of what makes Porsche's motorsport-bred machines so special. This example, with its impeccable history, comprehensive mechanical overhaul, and tasteful enhancements, is a rare find and a must-have for any serious Porsche collector.
