This 1999 Rallye is a rare and well-kept example of Peugeot’s most focused hot hatch of the era. Created for the UK market in limited numbers, the 306 Rallye distilled the GTI-6 recipe to its essentials – the same 2.0-litre 16-valve XU10J4RS engine, close-ratio six-speed gearbox and chassis tuning, but with less weight and fewer frills. It remains one of Peugeot’s most engaging driver’s cars, prized for its balance, steering feel and mechanical purity.
