Vehicle Background
Service History
1999 Peugeot 306 Rallye
One of 500 built, one of 200 in Cherry Red
75,000 miles from new
Completely unmodified
No signs of corrosion
20 service stamps from new
Recent cambelt service
One of 500 examples built, and one of just 200 finished in Cherry Red. This 306 Rallye has covered 75,000 miles from new and remains completely unmodified, with what appears to be original paint throughout. The service book shows 20 stamps dating back to 1999, including a recent cambelt service.
The condition is fabulous. No signs of corrosion, the interior presents beautifully, and the car drives tight and true – exactly as a well-maintained Rallye should. These were built to be driven, and this one clearly has been, but it's been looked after properly every step of the way. Viewing is highly recommended.
The 306 Rallye was Peugeot's lightweight, no-nonsense hot hatch – stripped of unnecessary comforts and fitted with the 167bhp 2.0-litre 16-valve engine from the S16. No air conditioning, no power steering, no anti-lock brakes. Bucket seats and a close-ratio gearbox. The formula was simple and effective.
Finding an unmodified example is increasingly difficult. The Rallye's lightweight nature and eager chassis made them popular with trackday enthusiasts, and many have been modified or simply worn out over the years. Survivors in this condition, with this history, don't come up often.
Private viewings available at our Berwick upon Tweed showroom. Video walkaround on request. AutoTrader five-star rated dealership three years running.
