We are thrilled to offer this exceptional and highly sought-after 2000 Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA Limited, number 337 of only 595 ever made. This stunning example, finished in the iconic 74F Supersonic Blue, is in remarkable condition and comes with an impressive documented history, reflecting the care and dedication of its fanatical owners since being imported into the UK in 2015.

The WRX Type RA Limited, based on the GC8 platform, was designed as a lightweight, stripped-out version of the WRX, intended for motorsport use. With significantly reduced sound-deadening, no factory underseal, and an aluminium bonnet, this model was the lightest of all factory Imprezas, weighing in at just under 1200kg. While built for racing, it quickly became a favourite among enthusiasts who wanted the most uncompromised driving experience, and its legendary status continues today.

This particular Type RA Limited is a true standout, boasting some extremely rare and highly desirable factory options, including the exclusive RAYS TE07 16" x 7J wheels (made specifically for the MY00 Limited models), factory-fitted 4-pot STi front brakes, and front and rear STi strut braces. It also features limited edition STi blue seats, adding to its unique and collectible appeal.

In addition to its factory features, this car benefits from several subtle yet tasteful upgrades, including a Prodrive full exhaust and a Newage Impreza intercooler, which improves cooling and ensures consistent intake temperatures. Most notably, the car recently underwent a comprehensive forged engine rebuild by renowned specialist Andy at Unit 8 Performance. This £7,000 rebuild included Roger Clark Motorsport OMEGA pistons, H-beam conrods, and other high-spec components, ensuring the engine is ready to handle up to 500bhp, though it's currently tuned conservatively to retain factory power. An itemised invoice is available, confirming the meticulous attention to detail in this build.

Despite its advancing years, this WRX Type RA Limited is in truly remarkable condition. Having never been driven in the wet since its UK arrival, the car’s underside has been preserved with Bilt Hamber Dynax UC clear wax coating. Cosmetically, the car remains stunning, with only minor signs of use, making it one of the finest examples on the market today. We have been across every panel of this car with our paint depth gauge during out preparation process and believe this to have completely original paintwork, highlighting how meticulously cared-for the car is.

The car also comes with a private registration, V33 LTD, and all relevant import documentation, including a Japanese history check and mileage verification.

For collectors and enthusiasts alike, this Subaru Impreza WRX Type RA Limited represents a rare chance to own a meticulously maintained, factory-original example of one of the most iconic rally cars ever built. With its rare options, forged engine, and impeccable history, it’s a true collector's item that offers both performance and heritage in one incredible package.
