It is with great pleasure that we are able to offer this absolutely stunning 2016 (66) Bentley Flying Spur Mulliner here at Opposite Stock.

This car was acquired from a very serious private collector, who is one of the most fastidious and particular car enthusiasts I have ever had the pleasure to meet. This example is absolutely breath-taking throughout and has been maintained with no expense spared throughout its lifetime.

Perhaps the ultimate ‘Gentlemen’s Express’, this vehicle brings a new definition to the concept of luxurious travel. Build quality is second to none. The car whispers along with not a squeak or rattle to be heard, only the faintest hum of tyre roar disturbing what would otherwise be total silence. However, if you wish, this tranquillity can be interrupted with a prod of the throttle pedal which all of a sudden wakes the 500bhp Audi-derived V8 from its blissful slumber.

A creamy - but still very civilised - V8 bellow engulfs the cabin, and you are catapulted towards the horizon by a silky-smooth wave of torque, in a manner that is extremely impressive given the car’s vast size and weight.

The V8 is quickly becoming recognised as ‘the thinking man’s approach’ with these cars – offering 99% of the real-world performance of the aging W12, without the unnecessary complexity and maintenance headaches that can be associated with the 12-cylinder variant.

What really stands this example head and shoulders above the competition is its specification. This car has been spec’d as perfectly as they come. The classic colour combination of Onyx over Beluga Hide, with contrast linen stitching, is a joy to behold. Combine with the Mulliner Driving Specification, 21” Black Machined wheels and Naim for Bentley, and this car ticks every box. The total cost of optional extras when new was over £23,000. This example also benefits from the added convenience of Apple Car play, which was retrofitted by the previous owner.

The maintenance record is perfect. Nine stamps in the book: seven from main dealers and two from Independent Specialists. The last service was completed less than 1000 miles ago on 20th September 2023 and the full service history is shown below. Discs and pads were replaced all round by Bentley Manchester in November 2022, which was within the last 4000 miles. The car wears Pirelli P Zeros all round.
