Opposite Stock is a specialist business operating out of the Scottish Borders and North Northumberland and offering for sale the finest hand-picked modern classics.

Only 500 DC2 Integra Type-R’s were allocated for the UK between 1998-2001. Upon arrival, this car had a massive impact thanks to its impeccable handling, razor-sharp 5-speed gearbox and a hand-built 189bhp 1.8-litre VTEC engine that redlined at 8700 rpm! As a result, many see the DC2 Integra Type-R as the finest handling front wheel-drive car ever made.

The way these cars were built is the stuff of legend. Honda limited production to 25 cars per day to ensure careful assembly of the hand-polished intake ports, bespoke inlet valves, enlarged throttle body and helical LSD.

This car has blown us all away here at Opposite Stock, on the road it is so crisp, so sharp and so mind-bendingly pure...sadly, they just don’t make cars like this anymore!

What we have here is a lovely, highly original and unmodified example of the breed. Originally registered on 27th March 1998 by Shepperton Honda in Middlesex, it has been cherished by only 6 keepers over that 26 year period. The car has a big folder of receipts showing a good service record, with 2 major services being completed in the last 2 years, including timing belt. Full service breakdown shown below. It has also just been fitted with a new set of Yokohama Advan Neova AD08R tyres.

The interior is in fantastic condition throughout, and the all-important red key is present, unused and in its original Honda packaging.

Mechanically the car is absolutely superb and faultless, and drives as well as any example can. Cosmetically there are some small areas that could be improved if you want a pristine showcase example, but there are no signs of serious corrosion anywhere.
