We are delighted to bring to market this wonderful example of the E92 M3 LE500 limited edition.

Here at Opposite Stock, the E92 M3 is our favourite M car of all time as it provides a pure driving experience that is hard to beat. That stratospheric naturally aspirated V8 is a masterpiece, which – when combined with one of the most balanced chassis ever developed by the M division – results in a spectacularly rewarding tool for road (and occasional track) use.

In our opinion, there are few cars that can combine this level of pure driver interaction, with genuine year-round usability. Values of these cars are holding firm and are likely to continue to do so – being that this is the last of the line of the iconic naturally aspirated M3s.

The LE500 was announced in 2012 as a run-out special of the legendary E92 V8 M3, with a limited production of 500 cars being brought to the UK and availability in three colours only: Mineral White, Santorini Blue or Imola Red.

The LE500 offered an enhanced specification over the standard car, with over £4,000 of factory options thrown in – including dark chrome tailpipes, shadow line exterior trim, and 19-inch gloss black alloy wheels. Inside, you got extended Novillo Leather, piano black trim and ‘One of 500’ laser etched into the dashboard.

Our car was beautifully spec’d by the original owner ahead of delivery on 28th Sept 2012, with the cost of factory options fitted to this particular example totalling £7,930. These options include the M DCT gearbox which, in my opinion, suits the E92 perfectly and provides a better experience over the manual (my own personal E92 M3 is a DCT, having owned a manual previously).

Other spec highlights include EDC, HiFi Loudspeaker system, PDC front and rear, Professional Multimedia, heated front seats, folding mirrors and adaptive headlights – see full spec list below. This car was acquired from a gentleman in his 60s, who has owned the car for the past five years and has driven it so gently that he admitted he had never even pressed the ‘M’ button on the steering wheel!

This car has clearly been cared for with no expense spared and wears its 64,400 miles very well indeed. The car has a brand-new set of Michelin Pilot Supersports all round and, having covered only 850 miles since its last service in November 2023, this car is ready to go and wants for nothing. It will also be supplied with a fresh 12-month MOT.

The service book contains no fewer than 8 stamps, and a thick wad of receipts, including the all-important running-in service which was completed in January 2013 after 1165 miles. Full service history shown below.
