The Circuit Pack spec brings Torsen LSDs front and rear, lightweight BBS forged alloys, and the GR-FOUR all-wheel drive system. This car goes further, with thoughtful upgrades installed by String Theory: Eibach suspension with spacers, carbon intake, short shift kit, and a Miltek exhaust system. All modifications were installed professionally and are fully reversible – the original exhaust and intake are included.

Intended to homologate Toyota's WRC programme, the GR Yaris has genuine motorsport pedigree. The 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder produces 257bhp and will sprint to 62mph in 5.5 seconds. Every panel differs from the standard Yaris in the pursuit of speed – its lightweight construction includes aluminium doors and bonnet, plus a carbon fibre roof.

Like the Impreza Turbos and Mitsubishi Evos of yesteryear, the compact Yaris covers ground like little else on the road. The suspension deals with everything British roads can offer, with the differentials constantly marshalling power across the axles. The steering, the traction, the theatre – it's all there. These upgrades simply let the chassis breathe more freely and reveal what the engineers always intended.
