Iris Blue over Navy Leather

Opposite Stock is proud to present this exceptional 1996 Porsche 993 Carrera 4, in Varioram specification and sporting a six-speed manual. Renowned for its mechanical purity, enduring elegance, and bulletproof build quality, the 993 continues to hold its place as the most coveted 911 of the modern era.

This is a car with a focused, well-documented ownership history. Early in its life the car changed hands a number of times, but for the last 15 years, it's only had two owners, one of whom kept it for over 14 years and cared for it with an open-chequebook approach.

Finished in the rare and beautiful Iris Blue Metallic over Blue Leather, it's one of the most tastefully specified 993s we've had at Opposite Stock, subtle, stylish, and unmistakably special.

In 2011, the car underwent a glass-out respray by the highly regarded AC Taylor Coachworks in Glasgow, commissioned to address minor stone chips and surface marks. The standard of work is excellent, and the car retains a factory-accurate finish that remains in superb condition today.

Driving it is every bit as rewarding as you'd hope. The chassis feels tight and communicative, and the steering remains one of the finest setups ever fitted to a 911. A stainless steel Dansk exhaust brings a deeper, more characterful note to the flat-six, subtly enhancing the experience without overpowering the 993's signature dry intake bark or adding any unwanted drone on longer runs.

The service book carries 17 stamps, all from Porsche main dealers or respected marque specialists. Documentation includes over £25,000 in maintenance with Geo. Morrison Porsche Specialists in Glasgow, a well-known and well-regarded name in the enthusiast community.

A few light stone chips across the front end are the only signs of a car that has been driven and enjoyed rather than stored and sanitised. Recent additions include a xenon headlight conversion and a new set of Michelin tyres, and all correct accompanying items are present: original book pack, toolkit, and three keys.

At 102,959 miles, this is a 993 that has lived a full life, but a carefully managed one. Priced at £74,950 – part exchange considered
