The RS500 remains the rarest and most desirable of all Cosworths, with just 500 built between July and October 1987 to homologate Ford's final Group A touring car developments. The larger turbocharger, revised intercooler and modified cylinder head gave Ford Motorsport the platform to dominate touring car racing across Europe and Australia.
Finding an RS500 in honest, original condition becomes more difficult each year as rising values drive cars toward concours restoration. This example presents as it should: properly maintained and ready to be driven and admired.
