As part of our due diligence, we commissioned The Supercar Tech in Edinburgh to carry out a borescope inspection. The results were clear, with no evidence of cylinder scoring in any bore.
Rather than spending long periods in storage, the car has been driven and maintained regularly throughout its life, reflected in its steady mileage and complete service record. It has covered just over 1,100 miles since its most recent service.
When new, the car was specified with more than £6,000 of factory options:

The 997 is increasingly regarded as a particularly desirable generation of 911, combining a relatively compact footprint with hydraulic steering, naturally aspirated power and styling which has aged exceptionally well. The Carrera 4S adds the wider Turbo body, four-wheel drive and the 3.8-litre flat-six, while retaining more than enough performance to trouble a modern sports car. Officially, it could reach 62mph in under five seconds and continue to a top speed of 174mph.
